I love to hunt warthogs

I have always wanted to hunt warthogs and was blessed when I was able to harvest this guy. His smile can't compare to mine.

View attachment 18141. This German hunting terrier was by my side the entire trip. Kalli slept outside our tent at night and was next to me in the blind all day. He found all 6 of my animals in less than 5 minutes each!

Couse Hunt (Bacaochi Mexico 2011) 030.jpg106 inches G.jpg106 inches F.jpg2 Kyle Welker's 105 4-8 Buck with Brad and Martin 08.JPG

On a great couse hunt with Rio Sonora outfitters. We had to climb this mountain and wait out the couse for 2 hours literally almost hanging off a cliff. Very intense climb down the mountain after i got the couse buck.

Its a great picture even if it doesn't win

I'm not sure which of us was more proud...

We were stalking in Namibia when I was able to catch these two Gemsbok sparring. Safaris are about so much more than killing animals. For me it's all the little moments that make them memories.

Great action shot.

Great story, little acts of kindness can go a long way. Fantastic job on the pictures, beautiful sunsets.

It was very smokey in the area last August, as the area had many fires burning, which wasn't great for hunting, but made a once in a lifetime experience for sunsets!! Just FANTASTIC!!

Busted

These two legal rams bedded next to where I was sitting within 30 yards. They had no idea I was anywhere in the area. I spent 2 hours watching them and decided I wasn't going to shoot them as they didn't quite reach the standard I had set for myself. I went home that year empty handed but with an amazing memory. It was a successful hunt.

Uganda - fantastic!

Take your pick.jpgBuff.jpgHippo environment.jpgHippo environment 2.jpg

Hi - I just wanted to chip in.
I am attaching four shots from a trip to Uganda a few years ago. A great safari - but as is the case with pictures in general it is usually very difficult to capture the "truth".
We got our hippo (and our Buffs and reedbucks and impalas, etc.) - but it was hard work indeed :D

Buff-Buster - "Good morning Africa"

A fantastic shot. The amazing thing about a photo is that you just have to look at it, close your eyes - and you're back....heck - this picture took me back, and I wasn't even there :-)
Absolutely beautiful!

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
Behind the scenes of taking that perfect picture.....

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
