Thanks a lot!
The one-piece QD base is also Warne? Looks great!
I will make sure the glass doesn't bite me :)
Thanks for the vid/description also!
Actually, that is a long discontinued Weaver base. My donor action was already tapped for 3 screws (two on locking ring and one behind the stripper clip slot) so I had to stick with one-piece base. Warne does make a steel semi p-rail 3-screw Mauser base but it is slightly higher than this one. My old Weaver base has a shorter loading cutout and only two slots for rings that are fairly close together. The attraction was this base is VERY low for a thicker 30mm scope. Acquisition is instantaneous and eye relief is great. Perfect. No problems loading or cycling. I did have to slightly modify the Warne ring square edged crossbraces to drop into Weaver base rounded slots. But they go together tighter than a glove now. No possibility for zero to be off after reattaching this scope!

I doubt you are interested in any trades but I was getting ready to list a Sauer 404 3 barrel set in the 10-12 price range if your interested. It has the 404J, 30-06 and 6.5 Creedmoor barrel. Only the 30-06 had been shot and it has 7 rounds through it as I was working on breaking the barrel in. It also has both the synthetic thumbhole stock and somewhere between grade 3-5 non thumbhole stock

Hello there. I’ve been wanting to introduce myself personally & chat with you about hunting Nilgai. Give me a call sometime…

Best,

+1 Great to deal with. I purchased custom rifle. No issues.

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary
