Up for grabs is this (1940) Winchester Model 70 in .30-06 the receiver bridge has been drilled and tapped for a scope, a recoil pad has been fit and an extra hole for a sling swivel has been added. Other than these things, the rifle is in beautiful condition. The stock is gorgeous with sharp checkering, the bluing is gorgeous as well. Bore is in great shape with crisp rifling. It’s a great rifle that hasn’t seen a lot of use. One that you can take to the field and not feel like you’re degrading the collector value. Hate to part with it but can’t afford to keep them all!
Looking to trade it for a new production Model 70 Safari in .375 H&H. Other than that I’ll probably keep it, just testing the water. Thanks guys!
