Up for grabs is a Boyds Classic laminate stock for a Winchester Model 70 Long or Magnum action (distances between screws and the inletting is the same between the two.. the difference in the two actions is above where the action drops into the stock) for Model 70's that have the 2 piece bottom metal (I think thats pretty much all of the New Haven guns after they went back to CRF?).
The stock has several "upgrades" from the basic boyds stock. Its in Forest Camo (standard color, not an upgrade), Has a 13.25" LOP (their standard is 13.75.. this was ordered a little shorter to fit my wife better.. would be a good stock for a smaller framed man, another lady, or a youth), a Limbsaver 1" recoil pad (upgrade), and it is pilar bedded both in the front and back (upgrade).
Retail on the stock is $325 from Boyds (plus shipping, plus tax, etc.. if you bought it new it would likely cost you just under $400 to get it to your door)...
While I had a Win 70 Classic Stainless mounted in the stock for a couple of years, the stock has never actually been shot.. Its still very much in new condition.. Ive inspected it to see if it even has safe bumps on it, if it does, I havent found any..
The first $200 gets it, shipped to your door.. No trades at this time please.. I'll leave it here for a week or so and see if it sells, after that I'll move it over to fleabay.. My wife has moved on to another 375, and I've got a new B&C stock for the rifle that has the correct LOP for my sasquatch length arms (Im 6'4").. so I simply dont have use for it any longer, which is why I am selling..
Thanks!
