I have decided to sell my Ruger RSM 416 RIGBY.
Serial number shows to be an early 90’s model (‘92 if I remember correctly). I purchased the gun from a ex Ruger employee who fired (7)rnds through it. It came with a box of 400gr partitions (7) missing. I shot the remaining (13)rnds:).
The gun is in great shape aesthetically & mechanically. There is a slight depression/mark on the left side of stock you can only see when lighting is perfect. I tried to highlight this in a photo. The gun shoots to the sights & recoil is surprisingly mild (as far a big bores go). Gun weighs 10lbs 2oz on my food scale.
Price $3600 FIRM shipped Ins (L48 USA).
I would like to kindly request this thread be kept on the topic of those interested in the purchase of this rifle. OR, those positively influencing others to purchase…:). Thank you

I believe they are 1”, but I will check this evening. If 30mm are desired, I have a set that came with another RSM I own, and I will swap them out.
Thank you for your interest.

Great rifles used by many successfully. 416 Rigby or 458 Lott are the way to go.

Weekly bump. Open to reasonable offers on this great DG rifle!

Thank you for your interest. CZ-Lott is a great gun, but I already have a 458Lott in the safe. Just looking for USD or Gold (certifiable).

Thanks and good hunting.

I'll note: Mine has an almost identical slight indentation, same spots. Bought new, wasn't noticed until it was home & in the right light.?

What an unusual coincidence. If the prev owner had not pointed it out to me, I probably would never have noticed. Lighting has to be just right.

This might start a conspiracy, but I have a Ruger RSM 458 Lott I purchased NIB with very similar dents in the wood in the exact same spot (left side of the action, just in front of the trigger). Bizarre!

Just for Comparison.

Thank you. Now I’m interested to get home and see if my 458 Lott shares the same marking. Someone join the club!:)

I read an older thread that mentioned you having some 9.3x64 brass. Do you still have some? I am looking for 100 pcs, maybe 200.
A wonderful trip to Hungary with a very special friend !
