For sale is my Leupold VX6, 2-12x42 scope with illuminated reticle.

The reticle is Leupold’s Firedot LR (# 4 duplex with 2 dots below. The LR is for Long Range). Only the crosshair is illuminated.

The tube does have some mounting ring blemishes.

It comes with original factory box and see through lens cover.

Asking $950 shipped to the lower 48.

Is that a CDS model? looks like a CDS turret but it doesn't say CDS unless i missed it.

To be clear, this is a FireDot #4 reticle as shown on the box, not the LR?

Thanks for that info. That is a photo of the reticle but I called Leupold, gave them the serial number and that’s what they told me it was called.

I’ve been following this post, but I’m confused.

It’s is not a CDS.

What reticle does this scope use/have?

Scroll up about 4 messages above yours and you’ll see an image of it. In addition, it has an illuminated red dot.

I purchased a rifle from LRich a few years ago and the transaction was GREAT- I can recommend him and his items highly. In fact, if I had a rifle for the scope I'd seriously consider getting it.

So is the picture you posted of the end of the box, not the original box or reticle the scope has in it? Instead, are you saying the photo posted by nomspc is the correct reticle? Could you possible take a photo of the actual reticle and post it so everyone knows what exactly is in the scope? Thanks much.

Doesn’t help or answer the question.

I am interested for a friend who is not member

Ok, let me clarify the questions about the reticle in this scope. I appreciate them and I understand the confusion.

Before I posted the scope for sale I called Leupold, gave them the serial number and the person I spoke to gave me the information I posted earlier.

Someone hear posted that the reticle on the box doesn’t match the description I posted and I realized that is correct. I should have paid more attention. The box is incorrect. I went to Africa in May and purchased it from an individual before I left and the scope came in the box I took a photo of. I didn’t pay enough attention and didn’t realize the box was incorrect.

So, when I called Leupold this morning, the correct information is that the reticle is a
“Firedot LR duplex.” Model # 111980.

Also, according to the spokesman at Leupold it does have a free CDS dial available.

That’s a great scope; had one for many years. For a 300WM 180 gr TTSX @ 2950 and zeroed at 200, the aiming points line up perfectly for 300, 400 & 500 yards.

Sir, I will gladly take that 16 gauge off your hands. I was waiting for your Winchesters but I'm a sucker for a 16 ga.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?

Hi Green Chile, I just recently bought a 470 NE barrel for my Thompson Center TCR 83-87 single shot. Im just looking for some 470 NE to shoot at the range just to try it out. I dont need anything special but I just wanted to see what you have left. I dont necessarily even need a full box.
Thanks
Bill
