The PM system on AH is called Conversations.

If you go to your Inbox at https://www.africahunting.com/conversations/ you will find your messages there. If you want to start a conversation, go to your Inbox at https://www.africahunting.com/conversations/and click on the button that says Start Conversation or go to the following link: https://www.africahunting.com/conversations/add.

Also by clicking on a member's avatar, a window will open up giving you the ability to click on a link called Start Conversation to send a message to that member.

Conversations are private just like Private Messages (PMs). Conversations unlike PMs can be between 2 people or more but remain private for those who are part of the conversation.

This was a rough one, I bought the A Square book just in case...

Per BeeMaa -

I worked at A-Square for most of a year. I ran ammo production. Built my own .495 A-Square on a Sako action (southpaw). The Coil-Check stock makes the BIG bore/.510" firing manageable. The AHR stock will be a bit more "sporty" as it is smaller, has a smaller grip area, etc.. I have not fired an AHR - just going from prior A-Square experience. I used my .495 to stalk bunnies in SD windrows, so one can get used to recoil.

Does it have recoil reducers? The long barrel means alot of weight to ameliorate the recoil impulse.

The cases are available out there if you look hard.

Simple approach - load your cartridges to a level you can effectively shoot, given the recoil impulse.

I'm really curious to know what Sako action you built that on. It's super easy to find old AVs in 375 hh for under 500 usd here in Sweden so it'd be awesome if it's possible to build a 500 a² on one of those.

It was in 1996, so very long memory exercise here... I want to say L690. Not even sure if that is a valid model, but that is what I have in my meager brain cell collection. Hope it at least gets you headed in the right direction!

It definitely helped and those guns are super cheap here. I don't really have the money to have one built atm but I'll definitely ad it to the long list of cool projects that I need to do.
