Are those ticket prices drive out or before associated fees etc ? A couple years back I booked late and paid 2,200 total. I seemed a little high but got the second seat "free" with my credit card points (still was a couple hundred in fees ).

That was my all in price per ticket. I had paid 2000 just for the Sa part before. I thought it was a great deal and travel express always comes through for me. These was the 4th time I use them and always the best pricing.

There seems to be some really good deals on airfare this year. I paid $1274 round trip from Missoula Mt. to Joburg with Emirates for this July.

Was with out a doubt one of best years to book tickets since I started hunting Africa. I always go out of jfk and on SAA because I like the times so I don't really shop around for other airlines just shop on the dates really.

Your post peaked my interest on airfare so I did some checking on SAA flight through JFK. I really like the Delta 200 flight but DAMN checked on pricing for April -may 2 and can get 2 RT tickets for $1800 from DFW-PLZ . So I scrambled to get quotes from Lori I can deal with return flight through IAD for that price
