First safari

I won my safari at an NRA auction. $2,000 for 4 people, 5 days, no animals included but the drinks were
It was a great trip in that I was able to go to Africa, for that it was worth it. The downside was the hunts were on very small properties and the quality of animals was not top notch. I learned a lot and planned accordingly for the next trip. Ask about concession size and average animal size. The little things also add up, get firm pricing locked in writing to avoid misunderstandings.
It’s a sunk cost - you spent the $ and it is what it is at this point. Go and have fun, it’s a beautiful country - you will then be better equipped for your second and third trips. I too said “this is a once in a lifetime trip” well, as most will mention - they too only planned on going once.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
