First deer with a trad bow taken in Northern Virginia

@TOBY458 thank you! I definitely don’t practice enough. This deer is defiantly a trophy. The experience I gained combined with the pics plus enjoying the meat with family and friends is worth much more to me then just any giant rack on the wall
Nice bow. What poundage is it?

Outstanding! That is one tough hunt, and nothing from the ground is easy. Congrats!!! Well done!

Great writeup and an enjoyable read. Getting them from the ground is tough. I'm with you on the ghillie suit. I go full suit with the crossbow, ground and treestand, and it's worked well for me.

@Hogpatrol thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed it

Congrats sir. I have that bow in that poundage as well. It is amazing to me that a bow that draws that smoothly and shoots so well can be had for what they charge for it. I bought mine expecting nothing much and was very surprised. Thus far I've only killed paper with mine.

Thank you. And yes, it is a great performing entry bow for anyone looking for an affordable leap into the tradbow world.

Nugget here. A guide gave me the nickname as I looked similar to Nugent at the time. Hunting for over 50 years yet I am new to hunting in another country and its inherent game species. I plan to do archery. I have not yet ruled out the long iron as a tag-along for a stalk. I am still deciding on a short list of game. Not a marksman but better than average with powder and string.
