Been dropping in on this forum for quite awhile and finally decided to create a profile :)

I co-produce a tv show on The Sportsman Channel and have a hunt planned in South Africa this June with Africa Anyway Safaris. We'll be filming for our final two episodes of the season and in addition, will be filming for the production of a few short films that we are anticipating will be run at a film festival at next year's SCI convention.

Also, we're planning on doing some humanitarian work while we are there which could include something with SCI's blue bag project in addition to some other very cool endeavors.

All of that to say this: there a few spots available for this hunt if anyone is interested. My partner and I are planning on taking a few plains game animals apiece and after that, fully intend to tag along and film whoever else is in camp if they are open to it. You can check out all the info on their website (Africa Anyway Safaris) but there is one new package that isn't listed on there yet. It is a trophy/cull package that includes 5 trophy animals and 16 culls for $7000. What's even better is that the owner will allow 2 guys to split the package, thus making it $3500 apiece!

Should be a ton of fun! Shoot me a PM if you are interested!

JD

P.S.- serious inquiries only please ;)

Interesting James.

Good luck with the filming.

JD I went to the AAS site and it does not say anything about the outfitter or PH.
Can you tell me who they are please.

Please post the details of this hunting offer here.
What are the 5 trophy animals?
What are the cull animals?
Where is the hunting taking place?

Which show do you co-produce?
Any links to see your previous work?

Thanks

Yeah, absolutely.

The name of the outfitter is Wolma Kemp. Super great guy. I met him through the marketing director for Campbell Cameras. He'd went there and hunted with AAS last year and couldn't say enough about how great of an experience it was.

As far as the trophy/cull hunt that a made reference to, the package is as follows:

Kudu (1 trophy and 2 culls), Blesbuck (1 trophy and 7 culls), Impala (1 trophy and 3 culls), Red Hartebeest (1 trophy and 1 cull), and Warthog (1 trophy and 3 culls). The hunting will take place along the Eastern Cape about an hour and a half from Port Elizabeth on a new concession that is about 10,500 acres.

The show that I co-produce is Hallowed Ground Outdoors. We have been on the air for 3 seasons and are wrapping up production for our 4th season, which will start in July. You can see more about us on our website (www.hallowedgroundoutdoors.com) or on our Vimeo page here.

We've got some pretty big plans for this trip, which has us all kinds of excited. I've never been to Africa, so needless to say, June can't get here soon enough for me :)

I'll be happy to answer any other questions that you might have and if I don't know the answer, I'll find out.

Also, here's a video promo that my buddy produced for them:

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
Ready for the hunt with HTK Safaris
