Hello and welcome!

:S Welcome:

Hey Fenstar, welcome

Welcome aboard. There is a group of 500j users here. What do you have?

Welcome aboard. A great group of folks here with lots of experience and knowledge that they are willing to share.

Hello all. Beautiful site and hunting community. Looking forward to the fellowship.
Welcome to AH! This is a great community. Quite the collection of calibers you mention in the title. Care to share any hunting experience with them or any other fun facts?

I’ve never shot any of them. Biggest I’ve gone is 375HH.

The .500J and .404J are bothe beautiful rifles done by Wayne Jacobson, AHR. The .450NE is a Heym double. My (2) .300HH rifles and a .257Roberts are all pre-‘64 rigs, and a handful of .375’s and .458 Lotts are all Lon Paul works of art. As a farm kid, all we did was work, family/church or hunt. Blessed life for sure. Very thankful.

Tucson, sounds like you are from AZ- fun fact.. late great gun writer and handloading guru, G. Sitton used to drive up from Tucson to our family’s dairy farm, in Phoenix area, to shoot doves. I was fortunate enough to have G teach me how to handload. For me, the reloading and the science behind our functional works of art (our guns) is my favorite part of the hunting journey. Africa, it’s deep history, the calibers that help write the bush story.. never gets old. This site is really a classy salute to Africa!

Giday Fenstar and welcome to the A H forums. Something to read that may add to your 404J knowledge/love.

WOW!! And thank you. Any chance one called “The .500 Jeffery history and related information”? VG thanks for this link of yours… the history makes the journey better!

Welcome to AH

Indeed I am. That’s a very cool firearms history.

Here's the target for the NorthForks - 25yds off a bag, iron sights. Hunting leopards over dogs the range won't be more than that.

Flew in an airshow in Smyrna years ago, beautiful country.

Best regards,

Franco
