Favorite Drink?

This thread is already making me thirsty!!
For me blackberry brandy is hard to beat if its a cold weather hunt (moose, bear, elk).
Peach Schnapps is a must for any and all sub temp hunts..
Ol' Africa go to has got to be Scotch or Whiskey on the rocks for this guy.

Just outta curiousity what is everyones favorite drink after a hunt? I personally am a spiced rum and coke guy. Captain Morgan to be specific. If anyone has anyone has any preferences or recipies I'd love to hear them!
I used to watch the fishermen come in from the sea in Jamaica and the first thing they would order for breakfast was Appleton Overproof rum with water or a "hot" Guinness stout if the takings from Sea were good that day. Some good rum in Jamaica..

I'm out on the bloody mary. Jamaica huh? I would proally stay in some type of comatose alcoholic haze if I was to live there. Booze and beaches. Right up my alley. I'm not allowed to drink certain things in public either, so I know the feeling. Problem being I dont always listen..... then I end up on the couch for a while :ROFLMAO::eek:

I so wish I could drink Scotch and whiskey but I cant do it. I have never aquired a taste for it and it makes me ill. I like the idea of it but lack the ability to stomach it.

Well, what happens in Jamaica stays in Jamaica, to coin a certain phrase... One can have loads of fun there.. :sneaky:

jeez jane is there anything you dont like to drink???? ;):ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::D:p
Haha!! I stay away from anything with hard alcohol, learned from experience (nothing illegal or DUIs and stuff, I'm not that far gone). Doesn't mean I don't remember those days when I tried them though.. I used to tend bar so... I admit, Jane is a crazy girl but responsible now... Kind of..:sneaky:

right, one always hopes :censored:
I promise this is a true statement.:) If in fact, anyone plans to vacation there please PM me. I know some of the finest accommodations available and some of the best areas on the island. I've been traveling there for over 18 years. I can give you lots of information.

Ooh I've never had appleton estate. Hafta put that on my rums to try list!(y)

I love a Margarita, and the worst one I have ever had in my life was in SA. Usually I'm content with a whiskey and ginger...as long as somebody else is making it and handing it to me. By the end of the day on a hunt, I'm too tired to care. LOL

When it is cool outside Chivas and water, hot out, Bombay Sapphire and Tonic and I never turn a cold beer down regardless of the weather!

As in coming off the truck? Then a really cold beer. But once the sun is down and around the fire then a single malt on the rocks. And without putting too fine a point on it, a Macallan 18 is hard to beat.

Water, Coke Zero, or beer.

I am a simple man, with simple tastes.

But, I am willing to be educated and reformed! ;)

I have one alibi, Apple Pie shine...Serves sooo many purposes ie temporary gas replacment, equipment sterilization, great fire starter and best of all, if your day of hunting sucked, with a few cups you will forget why the h*ll you were even there in the first place...

never had the that stuff but i did try the irish version once http://drinkingmadeeasy.com/blog/potcheen-irelands-moonshine/ when we were shooting there . the old boys showing us around took us to this little hut at the end of the day and offered us a shot or 2 of this home brewed liquid....apparently they only did this to visitors they liked, so what they gave to ones they didnt like i hate to think!!! but it was definitely rocket fuel so i think it would do all that BnC04 says his stuff does!

O it'll do it Mike. Some of the boys at the convention last year can attest to that.:D

Nugget here. A guide gave me the nickname as I looked similar to Nugent at the time. Hunting for over 50 years yet I am new to hunting in another country and its inherent game species. I plan to do archery. I have not yet ruled out the long iron as a tag-along for a stalk. I am still deciding on a short list of game. Not a marksman but better than average with powder and string.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
