Favorite Buffalo gun and cartridge?

CZ 550's or better yet the old Brno 602, and of course old Mauser's seem to be the prefered bolt guns for PH's. I doubt they are all that much different than a Ruger RSM or Winchester M70 in reliability and practical function. But rather i suspect price and availability had a lot to with their popularity.

Then there is the concept that a Double is the best choice for DG but if you have a bolt gun, it must hold at least 5 down;)

Bruce,

I thought he might have been joking about the 5 rounds?

I do get some chuckles here like one guy who said that ,"the 375 is fine for dangerous game like elephants if you're only gonna shoot a few, if you're gonna shoot more, get something bigger".

I bet I read hat 50 times before I figured out he was serious. :A Blink:

if a double is the best, how is 5 down an advantage?
if 3 down doesn't do it, you might well be dead by then.
bruce.
Exactly the point:rolleyes: Guys get so grumpy about opinions on guns that they can't see the humor or ridiculousness in what they are saying:ROFLMAO::D
