Eye Protection for Hunting & Shooting

I wear safety glasses every time I shoot my bow, or rifle. and I don't understand why more people don't.

A buddy of mine told me Safety glasses make it more difficult for him to pick out small details after about 10 yards. And I said you either miss the details or miss a new eye.

The wife and I shoot a fair bit of shotguns, primarily sporting clays, with some skeet mixed in. My wife wears prescription Rangers and I wear Pilla Panther X7, we're happy with both. Wear our primarily clay shooting, but also high volume wing shooting.

Ton of lens options for each, everyone's eyes are different so it's best to look at clays/birds thru the lenses in person to see what works best for you.

I find myself wearing three lenses 99% of the time, 18CED in bright sunlight, 44N to neutralize a green background, and 94HC in low-light/under artificial lights at night. Believe the 44N and 94HC have been replaced with something new.

Claytargetvision.com is a great resource to assist with any questions.

@runningman - Safety glasses Only protect your eyes from “impact/objects” - the clarity is poor, like looking thru a plastic soda bottle. Spend a few dollars $$ more and get shooting glasses that will protect and have better clarity
