Let me try to help you get things sold with a testimonial @Justin.

Slings in general are considered unwise for safaris. The theory is they get snagged up on everything…the theory is true for nearly every sling but these.

I was introduced to Murray Leather by a 50-year experience PH in Zimbabwe. He insisted we use a Murray sling on a 14 day hunt. Once the hunt concluded, I was sold on the concept. The Murray slings are instantly adjustable with one hand by moving a slider buckle. So you carry slinged most of the day and upon approach, you slide the sling tight to the gun, out of the way, snagging on nothing, for the final stalk. They are the absolute best quality, least annoying sling ever made.

If anyone wants a sling, the two in this listing are the only ones to own for a safari rifle. Top of the line saddle and bridle leather. They last a lifetime. USA made swivels, not junk from China. Top, top quality, made in America.

Exactly why I bought them both right away. :giggle:

Totally misread that, @RandyF , I thought it was the bog pod but I was wrong. You have some awesome slings. You’ll love them. Treat them and roll them up and twist them so they soften and they are very comfortable.

I couldn't agree more. My first experience with them was the one on the rifle I rented in South Africa. I loved it. These are number 2 and 3 for me.
That said, I also have a nylon strap type with the same slide setup(Ireally like the slide) that I use on my poor beat up old-reliable truck gun. It's serviceable for that and I don't care if that one gets grubby and messed up. These, however, demand more respect. ;)

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
