EMIAC, anyone ever hear of these people? My PH is shipping my mounted trophies back through them. Just curious what kind of bill I might expect from them. I am having 6 shipped home, full mount baboon, shoulder eland, black wildebeest, common reedbuck, bushbuck and waterbuck.

Last trip I just had the skins shipped back with ProDip Limpopo I believe and it cost around $1000 for 9 skins and skulls.

It has only been a week since my PH dropped off my stuff and he said it will take several weeks before I hear from them but I just wanted an idea of how much the bill will sting.

Thanks,

Where are you shipping the mounts? Air or sea? Insured?

Not sure yet. I haven't heard back from them. If I have a choice which is better, sea?

Probably $3000+

There are lengthy threads about this on here, both have their merits but most shipments go air.

Ask them for a Quote. NOW.
It is holiday season so there might be delays but they should be able to tell you within a very reasonable window what the fees will be.

Like BRICKBURN , I would send them a email , if you don't like the quote get another quote from a different export agent. do not assume. Forrest

I would say you could get that shipped home for 2500 air and 1800 sea.I would get quotes from a few though.Your outfitter could have told them to give you a ballpark figure already or gave you there contact info so you could have started the process already.

Good luck I hope they dont take advantage of having your stuff at there place already.

Brickburn you are the man with the information.

Thanks guys! I will get ahold of them. I figured it would be a few thousand.

Thanks,

I just had shipped an impala shoulder mount and blesbuck - about $500 fort he air freight, then paid $330 for the services of a import handler in the US...I picked up the trophies from the cargo warehouse myself.

Question -

I have a Kudu dip & ship coming soon. EMIAC will be shipping it to New Orleans. Speaking with the folks at airline cargo warehouse they said I didn't need to go through a broker here, I would use one on the South African end..that I could go to the US Customs Office and fill out the paperwork myself and save myself some money.

Can anyone give me some insight into this process? How difficult is this process?? Insight anyone?

Ok thanks,
I still have not gotten my quote from them yet but I expect it soon. I am HOPING that for the full mount baboon, shoulder eland, bushbuck, waterbuck, reedbuck and black wildebeest it wont be over $3K. My fingers are crossed!

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
