I have an elephant & leopard cancellation hunt in the Khaudum North Complex in Namibia. (Both with CITES permits and exportable.)
Total price US$ 29500 (normal price US$ 37 500), inclusive of 14 days, trophy fee for elephant bull and leopard, transport from Windhoek and back by road (9-10h drive). This hunt was scheduled for mid August, but the following dates are available:
Now to 10 October or 2 November to 20 November 2010. PH will be me most likely, depending on dates.
If elephant is not succesfully hunted, hunter will receive US$ 16 000 back. If leopard is not shot, hunter receives US$ 3500 back.
(Baits are excluded, budget around US$ 500 for baits.)
Extra animals available:
hyena 600
kudu 1250
oryx 700
warthog 400
steenbok 400
duiker 400

(Best dates would be as soon as possible, or the November date)

I am also willing to split this hunt, into a 14 day leopard hunt for US$ 14 500, (normal price US$ 17 500) or a 12 day elephant hunt for US$ 24 000 (normal price US$ 30 000). (Same refunds apply, both includes trophy fee of either the elephant or the leopard.)

Hi Karl,

Jan should be back from Cameroon any day now. I will pass on this info to him and see if we can do something with this hunt.

Just a few questions. Where is the Khaudum North Area? How many elephant do you have on Quota and what is the average Ivory weight? Do you hunt the elephant and Leopard in the same area at the same time?

Hi Double D

Khaudum North area is North of the Khaudum National Park in Namibia, on the border with Botswana, extending a small distance into the western Caprivi. Have a look at this map, the green area is Khaudum Park, the blue area is the hunting area.

We have 3 elephants per year on quota there, and 1 leopard. So they can be hunted in the same area. The mornings will be spent checking baits and looking for elephant tracks. The afternoons on either still following likely tracks or sitting in a blind where there is a cat feeding. So far, the average size for elephant there is above 50lbs, but I had a client that did not shoot one of the biggest bulls I have ever seen outside of a park. (Dont ask me why.) I have not hunted leopard here yet, but on every occation that we have put out hyena bait, we have had leopards come in. The best dates will be as I said as soon as possible, or the November date.
