Elephant into Australia

Hi All,

Now that the PC brigade has banned lion importation into Australia, my next option is elephant...

Does anyone know if you can import elephant into Australia?

I have nearly exhausted the PG menu, and while I love buff hunting I am worried that the government may ban all DG in the near future...

as far as l kmow australlia shut elephants down a long time ago
if you got your heart set on elephant , try and do a pac hunt and bring your trophy photo home with you

You Can still do the hunt without importing. A local guy did and has a set of cast replica tusks. If it was me I would go with blueys suggestion.

Tuskless is another less expensive option, then at least you are just out the hide, which can be sold to recoup part of the hunt cost.

if you love hunting in Australia ,put the hubs in , and your seat belt on , the road is just starting to get rough , it will get a whole lot worse before it gets any better .
if we are in , we need to be united ,
these bozos are winning , and aint going to stop at elephant , leopard and now lion .......

ive posted on three forums , asking for anyone in the same boat as me to speak up , and ive had one reply from a bloke that got his home last November

no one will tell me any other names , but want all the info im gathering ,
the cites permit was applied for today .(import)
just a never ending circle and lots of dead ends
im thinking of importing her to new Zealand , but cant get any info , on importers there , then I have to find some where to store her for a little while , till I can get her into Australia .
but then again the way the pollkies are fkin this place up ,maybe I will sell everything up and just shift over there

Na is looking good to me to, I'm not quite ready to leave Au. But it's getting close.

I might be forced to yet, not liking the noises coming out of our government.

I don't know a lot about importing cats, but is there anything I can do to help ?
