Elephant Hair Bracelet Pictures

If you have the hair, go to a local jewelry store and tell them what you want along with photos and they can make it for you.

Also really like the sole bracelet! These have become very popular amongst Big Game PHs in more recent years. Thanks for sharing @Wheels.
Quick question. Please forgive my ignorance…I am hunting a tuskless in Zim this year. Can I legally have a bracelet made for me and ship it back to US?

thanks!!!

My understanding from previous threads is a big negative.

In all likelihood, someone from your outfitters crew will make bracelet(s) for you depending on the amount of hair in the tail. You may want to inquire of the ph or outfitter prior to the hunt.

Same with bracelets made from the sole.

All the best.

@Rare Breed I'm guessing you got all "A's" in conduct in school ;)

Today is Liesl Birthday, this was here birthday present. The elephant hair is from an elephant she took last year. She managed to get some scratches in the silver while changing oil on her cruiser today.
What can I say?

@Wheels has it right. With pictures or a good drawing most jewelers could have it done for you. Better still if the person working on it is working at the address where you leave it.

Coming back to this topic, does anyone have any contacts or addresses of artists in Africa making the more extravagant elephant hair bracelets?

Not looking for precious metals only. There has to be some real hair. With a clasp or something that I could open and close. I have a traditional slip knot one, but it keeps on opening up.

And next to that, would it be possible to have a watch strap made, out of elephant hair?
I've had two of giraffe hair and two of elephant hair for several years They are traditional slip knot types and seem to be fairly durable.

Here's a link to a company in RSA that may have some ideas for styles and design features

Thanks for the info!

Here’s one of mine I’ve worn since 1982. I’ve got a few of these from Haglund Jewlers in Johannesburg which I don’t believe is in operation any longer. These were all handmade. They gave me a tour of the shop and showed how everything was made. For a short time I was their distributor in the US. Really nice work.
