Its that time of the year again in the Okavango Delta, when the floods come in and vehicles get stuck. Jacking up a vehicle in waist deep water as a crocodile swims between the wheel axels is nerve racking stuff.

An example of how incredible these vehicles actually are, the vehicle we pulled out with the tractor was completely submerged in water, our mechanic performed some basic mechanics and she came too life first time.
Will be interesting if anyone else has any "Eish!" moments caught on camera?

That's amazing, thanks for posting!

That mechanic had better get a snorkel installed for the return trip.

Interesting trail choice.

Land Cruisers are amazing. Seeing these photos reminds me that I never should have sold mine.

I would have been really impressed if they'd used the croc to pull out the cruiser, instead of the tractor. Anyone can use a tractor... ;)

Good to know someone had a tractor to get the vehicles pulled out.
I like the idea of the elevated croc stand!

That's why you go to Africa! Great trophy pics.(y)

We even do it in Texas (no worries about croc's though!!) This is the result of my buddy parking his jeep on a hill looking down at one of our water holes on our deer lease. Didn't put the emergency brake on. While he was checking out the water hole he heard something and turn around to see it coming down the hill at him! It had jumped out of gear and wound up in the water. We still remind him about it every now and then. Of course it's usually after a few sundowners in the evenings around the fire....lol

One would think 2 tons of hippo meat would be enough for the Hyenas!! Oh no, they had to eat my trail camera as well.

@Sable123 surely Toyota SA would looooooove to get their hands on pictures like that, mind boggling and truly awesome! There is in fact only one vehicle for AFRICA - TOYOTA!!!

Maybe it their way of saying Hey!!! How you Doin???

My wife even gave it the "I told you so!":(. Suppose it was rude of me to trespass while they feeding.

@Tootabi Hunting Safaris Toyota Land Cruisers are awesome which is why I own a Land Rover, but don't tell anyone.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
