Dutch House of representatives passes motion to delist rabbit and hare as game species

Love rabbit hunting with a good pack of beagles..Shooting the rabbit isn't near as fun as listening to those beagles have a race.

That being said, what has taken a considerable toll is "clean farming" thus eliminating a rabbit to find cover and hide from predators. In the southeastern part of US where I live the coyote populations are continuing to grow and were rabbit and quail were once abundant are no longer.
Getting people to hunt predators is extremely difficult and our state does not allow year round trapping.
Kill every coyote and house cat you see.

We have our own farm cats but should a stray Tom show up, it's game on. Tough buggers using a 22 rimfire.

Feral cats.
It sounds like you could use a good dog like one that I have.

He is not supportive of cats or their trespassing ways.

He fervently seeks them out to have a conversation with them about their indiscretions.

If they remain noncompliant, he will discreetly and permanently relocate them.

He never makes the news or wants recognition for his negotiating skills.

He always completes his negotiations in an extremely timely manner, and does it with what seems to be a deep satisfaction and big puppy grin.

He must be a great conversationalist and negotiator because I never see that particular feral cat again.

Thank Randy but my border collie is not allowed to chase the farm cats, he occasionally herds them but he does not permit a strange tom on the place. Besides, hunting feral tomcats is probably as close to lion hunting i will ever get.

I just got back from 6 weeks of quail hunting in southeast Arizona. I saw more cottontail rabbits in those 6 weeks than the rest of my life combined. Didn't see many coyotes, but I heard 'em every night. Small (compared to coyotes in northern Nevada) and skittish!

Maybe a couple of tasty recipes posted in the Sunday paper would change everybody’s mind! Could not help myself!
