Did Cabela’s stop selling African hunting merchandise?

The one in Allen, TX has a hodgepodge.... I think it is a sign of the times. I guess they figure if people want something that is not in high demand they will get online. The more mainstream stuff, they have an abundance of.

When I need hunting gear, I go to my local gun shop FIRST. If they do not have what I need, they can usually order it. Second choice is to buy online from Midway, Huntington's, Grafs, etc.

Cabela's/Bass Pro is a joke. They are moving away from quality brands and private labeling their own 'made in China' gear. Their gun room is staffed by idiots who do not know about what they are selling. The choices in reloading equipment leave a lot to be desired. Sportsman's Warehouse is much better IMO.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
