Delta through ATL to JNB Firearms/customs question

ActionBob - totally agree on cleaning things when home - all our footwear gets cleaned and put away and all clothes in the wash. I've definitely found bugs in my suitcase when in Africa so don't want them in my home.

I spray my pants and some light camo cover clothes with permethrin 2 days before leaving. It remains active for
Good point lcq - have used permethrin when in Africa for the little pepper ticks but didn't realize it had that long of a residual effect.

Great stuff, unavailable in Canada. I drive across the border to Walmart. The Canadian army uses it Americans can even buy pretreated clothing but we the great unwashed up north are expected to scratch. Canada is not the land of opportunity for some things.

I was a little off http://sawyer.com/products/permethrin-premium-insect-repellent/

At the concentration level delivered in the aerosol, non-aerosol pump sprays and soak systems (all at 0.5% Permethrin), an application lasts for six weeks and through six washings. Permethrin breaks down through exposure to air (oxygen) and sunlight (ultraviolet light). If you store the clothes in black plastic bags between uses, you can extend the time of effectiveness; however, always retreat after the sixth laundering. Permethrin may also be used on sleeping bags, tents and nettings.

Here's the target for the NorthForks - 25yds off a bag, iron sights. Hunting leopards over dogs the range won't be more than that.

Flew in an airshow in Smyrna years ago, beautiful country.

Best regards,
