Delta Airlines News

CPT-ATL is 209 nautical miles shorter than JNB-ATL JNB-CPT is 790 miles. Mango flight is 2 hr 10 minutes JNB-CPT. If Delta goes through with the JNB-CPT-ATL route, figure three to four hours additional time sitting on the aircraft. What was once 17 hours of torture will now be 20 hours.

Great circle route: JNB-CPT-ATL 8920 miles JNB-ATL 8439 miles

My 2¢, Even though Delta has it's own refinery making jet fuel, somebody's going to pay for that extra climb out and it isn't going to be them.

That's for sure would rather have extra money for more animals than put it into delta's pocket

I wonder if those hunting the EC could just fly PLZ to CPT on the way home and then get on Delta? It still would be a long flight and likely more expensive than others (as in the past) but a straight shot to the US. I am wondering if we are going to be forced into the DL flight since it is a straight shot and does not involve a third country that may impose travel restrictions on US citizens?
What do you think? (Travel in 2021)

That would be good if you could check your guns out of the country in PLZ but if you remember, there's a book in JNB that you sign to leave JNB to fly somewhere else in the country and then when leaving the country. If they computerized everything it would be a lot easier. This assumes one is bringing his own firearms.

I am guessing it is possible, but would bet they nail you on the cost. Multi-leg flights can really add to the cost, but none of this is cheap, so it still might make sense.

A flight from PLZ to the Cape would make you a domestic passenger. And as of now, when/if this flight starts, they will not pick up domestic passengers in CPT. But who knows what the final results will be. Just my thoughts.

The press release says they will not take domestic passengers from JNB to CPT. I believe they will pick up international passengers inCPT.
My hunt is late July so I’ll be checking in with the travel agent in a few weeks. Frustrating times we live in!

Personally all this makes my head hurt[emoji23]. I just call Lori and Jennifer at Travel Express and they make it happen. Mask, no mask I don’t care, just let me go soon[emoji41][emoji41]
I totally agree. It makes my head hurt as well! A travel agent is more necessary than ever now. I’ve always said to use a travel agent but wow now we really need professional help.

There will always be someone to take over, if Delta don´t decide to use their A350 for the longhaul operations. Worst case scenario, you fly through the EU, as many people already do.

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
