Dealings with Dghunt, member

I am new to this forum and wanted to see if anyone has made any purchases from Dghunt. Looking at purchasing some ammo but his phone contact number just message saying this Google subscriber not available. He did give me his address but no phone contact.

Any thoughts before I send a payment.

No personal dealings. If you search for that username there are about a half dozen posts to various threads back in 2024.

I'd ask for a valid number and try to speak to the individual on the phone before sending any sort of payment. Ask questions and look for the red flags.

An unknown member that posted meaningless messages for a week, appears to have privately messaged you offering ammo, and doesn’t return calls is 99% likely a scammer. Walk away. Wait for a classified ad from an established member selling ammo. Wanted ads attract scammers.

For me, if someone will not take a call and will only communicate via texts, I move on, classic signs of a scammer.

What ammo are you looking for? Someone more established and/or willing to call you instead of text only may be able to help.

From the info you gave, I see major red flags and would walk away from that transaction.

I was looking for 470 NE express ammo either soft point or sold. I have just purchased a Merkel 140 double rifle.

That ammo is readily available through most of the retailers. Just Google 470 NE ammo for sale and you will find plenty out there. If this is your first DR you may want to look into reloading. Your Merkle was probably regulated with 500 grain ammo at 2150 FPS. I would buy one box of Hornady and see how factory ammo regulates then go from there. I will help you if desired after you see if you are lucky enough to get factory ammo to regulate well in your DR
