Ugh, well this sucks. One of the benefits of living in Kansas City is CZ used to be headquartered here so you could always get CZ rifles and pistols before anyone else in the country and since every gun store carried them you could order whatever you wanted. I once hoped to go to Africa and kill a Cape Buffalo but sadly I know that is not going to happen and so it has come time to part with my Safari Magnum. The gun is unfired and still has packing grease in places. It has sat in my gun rack for the last eight years since I bought it from OMB in Overland Park when they went bankrupt.

I'm asking $2500 for the rifle plus shipping from my FFL to yours, the rifle will be boxed in a soft case. I understand I'm completely new around here and the internet is rife with scammers, I collect pool cues and it's gotten almost easier to build your own then buy off Facebook. 54, need new knees but refuse to get the replacements just because. Everything else is fine.

As someone whose parents both have had both knees replaced, DO IT! You still have a lot of hunting years ahead of you

So I'm a 54 year old with an eight year old, which means I'm low on disposable Safari funds because of private school and cost of activities.

My thoughts are move the 550 to someone who will use it now and if I get the opportunity to actually go to Africa buy a used John Rigby double for my one trip and maximize the experience.

I lived in the UK for five years and used to travel there at least five times a year for business. I've built a really good network of contacts in the firearms community there. Personally I know of three doubles in the hands of good friends that were passed down at least three generations who have no kids to pass on too and all would sell to me if I asked.

The CZ was bought on a whim, it needs a new forever home!

See that phrase, "whose parents have" is what concerns me. Everyone I know my age, also all ex-football players regret getting the replacements. Everyone I know over the age of 65 who has gotten them is a different story.

Thank you, I think you can still make your hunt, I have had lots of hunters in their 70s & a very few in their 80s (hard work that) even a few who didn’t live long enough after the hunts to receive the trophies but enjoyed the hunt.

Had a guy do a hunt with his Father but his Father was in an Urn, part of a promise to each other !
