Yeah, kinda no fun buying shoes. Been wearing this size since around 1982 or 1983. Off the rack boots are Nocona or Justin. Dress shoes are J&M or Bostonian. Athletic shoes are Puma or Reebok.

I suppose things might have changed since I last bought boots or dress shoes. I tend to hang on to nice leather - been at least 10 years since I bought boots or dress shoes. Shoe polish, edge dressing, and new soles every 5 or 6 years.

Called them, they're well north of my budget, almost $4k per pair.

Well, they are on Westheimer inside the Loop. That's where the big money resides in Houston.
