With most of the big game hunting in Botswana now closed there is still plains game hunting available on privately owned farms. One of my hunting outfitters has a huge ranch there and he has a few openings for some cull hunts. Trophy hunts are also available there as well. This is a great opportunity to see a new country and get some shooting in without breaking the bank.

Cull hunts are a minimum of 2 people and 7 days, $2,275 PP.

CULL PRICES....................
Wildebeest bulls $250
Wildebeest cows $150
Kudu cows $150
Eland cows $400
Broken horn bulls same price as cows

Daily rates include:
Meeting upon arrival in Maun
Full services of a professional hunter
Full camp staff and services
Accommodations
Meals and local drinks
Daily laundry service.

The following items are Not included in the daily rate:
- Trophy fees
- Gratuities
- Dipping, packing, and shipping of trophies
- Gun permits at $150/gun
- Air charter to camp (optional)
- Shotgun ammunition at $1/round
- Pre or post-hunt hotels
- 12% VAT (trophy fees are exempt)
- Road transfer to and from camp at $300/vehicle

Hi James,
Effectively a good idea to see a new country !
Please, what other species ?
What typical trophies animals are there possible to take in this area ?
Thank you.

Hi James,

How far is this ranch from Lusaka, Zambia.

is there a chance that this can be 1x1? Another question is it 7 days hunting? I have never hunted Botswana and this hunt would be ideal for me and my new 375.

Hi Guys,

Sorry I was not getting the notifications form the thread.

its about 20 hours from Lusaka, 1500 K

English hunter,
we can do the hunt as a 1x1, the day rate is $425 PP per day.

so whats the quota for the cull animals and are we allowed to keep the meat ?

Thanks for confirming the day rate for 1x1. is it 7 days hunting and what dates are available?

These type hunts are very interesting to me. As noted above its a good way to get in a lot of shooting.

CAustin,

the cull hunts are a way to get years of experience in a single trip. I did one in Australia a few years ago and it was unbelievable. Especially shooting the big stuff. Bullet placement, follow up shots on the go reloads, things that are hard to practice for in a training environment.

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
