Curious if anyone wears or have worn Crispi Monaco Premium GTX boots. Just wondering if these would be good for a planes game hunt.

The Crispi boots fit my feet nearly perfectly. If they fit you, and you like the weight of that model, use without fear.

Was wondering about these as well. I don’t think the sole is very flexible from what I’ve read? I ended up with Jim greens instead but curious what others with personal experience have to say about them.

I like the Jim Green's, but they are a tad bit too wide for me. Courteney Boots are also a bit too wide. Both Jim Green and Courteney use a wide last. I spoke with the Director of Manufacturing at Courteney and she told me they are already working of new lasts for D and narrow widths.

Crispi soles are rated from 1 to 5 in stiffness. Look for the Flex Rating value.

Monaco’s are a 2 and would be a great PG boot.

I don’t have the Monaco’s but the Wyoming and Idaho are my go to upland and western hunting boots. I think they would be a bit stiff for African PG.

Fantastic boots though I’m a big fan of Crispi I wear their hiking shoes almost every day.

Yeah they are a 2 which seems like it would still be relatively stiff for most African hunting. My Lapponia are a 2 as well and I use them for elk out west. Still would like to hear from folks who own them for hands on experience.

I'm a huge Crispi fanboy, so biased, and really like the look of the monacos, but have not had a pair on yet. Can say I've had 6-7 different models over the last 6-7 years and all of them fit consistently. So agree, if you like the fit in any of their other boots, you should like the monacos.

At the national sheep show in Reno for 2023, several of the guys working the booth were wearing them. They gave rave reviews for general comfort when carrying things around setting up and tearing down for the show and standing around all day on concrete. Not a solid torture test on the shoe, but speaks volumes as to comfort.

I have a pair, but I’ve only worn them casually, thus no review. That said, they fit almost exactly the same as my heavier, stiffer soled pair.

One thing on some of their lighter boots, or at least the Thor II, is the rubber compound of the sole itself is super soft. Great for traction until its not. I wore a pair for all of the John Muir Trail in summer of 2021, then a few sections of the PCT in the Cascades and some weekend steep day hikes around the Olympics later in the early fall. All told, maybe 400 miles of backpacking trail wear. The Sierras was hard on them as it all is essentially hard granite or ground up granite pieces it seems. But by November of that year I tried to wear them backpacking into the Wiamanu Valley on the big island since they were the only warm weather hikers I really liked, and I totally ate shit three times.

Like cartoonistic, feet flying up over head, slip and fall style when going downhill on the wet clay-y soil I would just slide. I knew the soles were wearing down, but the lugs were really all but gone and enough with edged rounded off where they gave zero grip or traction. Still a great warm weather boot, stiffer than the Monaco which I like if carrying a multiday pack, but the soft grippy soles come with a price.

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
