COVID-19 Coronavirus UPDATES, BANS, CLOSURES, ADVISORY, etc.

The wife and I have been watching that daily since it was first put up. Every morning it's like this with us:

My kids school has just been closed for the rest of the year. It’s crazy...

Any idea of how you think it will work there?.....with so many here earning what they can selling on the streets ...at robots and in the markets.....how they would be able to keep going in a lock down I haven't a clue..... Be very difficult to enforce... and then what happens when confrontation with the authorities possibly occurs..... Not good.....

Nope but I ques we will find out shortly as national lock down has been announced from midnight on Thursday......

May God be with us all....

Looks like we are likely going to move to another approach to dealing with this by the end of the week. I suspect people older than 60-65 or with underlying medical conditions will be directed to remain isolated as much as possible, but the younger and healthier portion of the population will get back to work. Will be interesting to see if it is a phased, regional or flip the switch methodology. I suspect some combination of the first two. Based upon what that looks like over a couple of weeks, and assuming the medical system isn't overwhelmed by another spike, the tap would be opened wider.

Both talking heads and state and local government officials seem to be signaling this pretty loudly. At some point the current draconian measures are doing far more societal harm than good.

I saw a post jokingly showing all the pregnant women 9 months after this lockdown is over. For folks on this site, I assume they will be raised by single mothers because all the guys I know will be on safari after this stuff is finally controlled. No offense ladies. I know you can leave the kid with Dad and a couple cases of Similac(so old I don’t know if this stuff is still used) and head off on your own too! Happy Safari Planning!

I have been out of pocket. Is this coming out of Texas or does this look like it is a national thing?

The president and Gov Cuomo have both indicated a reassessment at the end of the week and several of the hired medical talking heads on Fox and CNN are indicating a similar assessment.

If there is a vaccine available I would agree with you.
But I don’t see anything getting better and the the lockdowns simply getting tighter.
No politician wants to be responsible for determining how many deaths are acceptable to keep the economy running.

Of course it is going to get better because the status quo is unsustainable. We’ll know shortly.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
