COVID-19 Coronavirus UPDATES, BANS, CLOSURES, ADVISORY, etc.

I just recovered a week ago. For me it was almost nothing. Muscle ache first day. Then random cold sweats and lack of energy for a week.
Back to work at full schedule now.
Others I work with suffered more but all have recovered

Big bombshell dropped on me this afternoon. My co-worker, whom I have been working with in very close proximity, called to inform me that he has Covid.
My supervisor is getting tested right now, as he is feeling ill, and will be calling me to go get tested tommorow, before (if) I can return to work.

Arizona is the world hotspot for Covid right now.

I just started with this company on January 4th, as they recruited me with a good offer. Not a good start.

As of now, I feel fine. That could change.
Hang in there my stepdaughter and her husband both had it and it was like the flu for them.

I have a friend on Facebook he lives in the Canadian artic. He hunts polar bears, seals, muskox and ect. He posted that his wife and him got their covid shot. Think about that for awhile.

I don’t have to think about it. I live it here in rural AK. Our local ems manager hopes to have everyone who wants a vaccine to have the first shot by the end of the month. There’s 400-ish people here. I got my first shot on Thursday. We have a basic 2 room clinic and a FNP who may or may not be here. There is no road in or out. Weather can be problematic for wintertime med-evac flights. So, we’re high on the list. I suspect your Canadian friends are in the same situation.

Is covid that bad in Alaska? Must be better organized up there. Here in Kansas some are under investigation for vaccinating their friends and relatives.

One thing my wife bought during the pandemic was a device that measures your blood oxygen from your finger. If your sick and your oxygen levels drop call your doctor. We had a friend who died with covid in her sleep. He husband said she didn't feel that sick.

Yep, in Australia we've had all kinds of lockdowns from whole states, international travel, cities and parts of cities over the last few months alone. Many people overseas wouldn't stand for this - however we haven't had ANY community transmission in the whole country for the last few days and very few for months. Only cases we get are from repatriation of citizens from overseas who have a mandatory hotel quarantine for 2 weeks on arrival. There have been a few cases where people (transport drivers and quarantine security) who were in contact with infected people in the hotel quarantine and have spread it into the community, but excellent contact tracing by health departments and targeted lockdowns have been very effective.
Its certainly not great with rapid lockdowns, but I'd rather be here than just about anywhere else in the world right now. Vaccines will roll out in March. Gives me another 12 months to save for when the borders and travel are reopened.

This will be the way out of this madness for both the travel industry and us. The conspiracy mob (left and right wing nuts) will hate it because the vaccine is actually a means to shift our DNA to turn us into socialists, or a means of tracking the general population, or to selectively kill Trump(insert name) supporters etc., etc., etc., .......... :A Whacky: :A Exam:

BUT, in reality, it is no different than the vaccinations and international shot records many countries still require - just, I suspect, a more convenient cell-phone AP.

For those of us that want to continue to travel internationally, I am sure this will be a requirement very soon. You don't want to do it....you don't go!

A Judge has overturned a 10:00 p.m - 5::00 a.m curfew mandate in the county I live in. A small victory.

Non-Citizens. Nowhere does it say Americans are not allowed to travel to South Africa.

Didn't say it did....but it does say they will possibly have to quarantine for 7 days on returning...and people who could previously enter the usa now cant....

Understood, but have seen this article being thrown around spreading false fear. If people don't take the time to read the article, and only read the heading, they'll get the wrong impression.

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.

I know that this thread is more than a year old but as a new member I thought I would pass along my .280AI loading.
I am shooting F Open long range rather than hunting but here is what is working for me and I have managed a 198.14 at 800 meters.
That is for 20 shots. The 14 are X's which is a 5" circle.
