Courtney Selous Boots

Hey guys I know I’m a bit late here. But have some Courtney questions. I recently got a pair of safaris and am really impressed with the boot. The only issue is there is not much padding in the tongue. And the lacing eyelets really dig into the top of my foot, a few miles in that’s not so great. If anyone has ran into this problem before with Courtney’s and found a solution I’m open to your advice, Thanks.

I’m pretty accustomed to wearing boots and have worn a few pairs out. But these seem a bit different.
Ouch! I have never noticed that on mine at all. I wonder if there is something wrong with the riveting?

Socks! OD green cushion sole standard issues service socks. In the words of LT Dan in Forrest Gump

Pheroze, I thought the same thing being that everyone talked about how great they are. So I contacted Courtney boot co. And actually mailed my boots alllll the way to zim, to have a padded tongue put in or have them change rivets. 4 months later I got the boots back. But nothing had been done to them. Nothing at all.
Now I can’t get in contact with them email or phone. So figured I would ask around a bit before I sale them.

Norfolk thanks for the reply. I have my standard Issue socks actually. But I really like the darn toughs. I’ve given a few pairs of darn toughs beatings that would ruin most sneakers but they are still great.

Ugh! What a nuisance.

Hi ESC, i wonder if you aren't tightening them too much? Courteney's are meant to be sort of loose laced, they just stay in place. Also use a good pair of bamboo socks, they seem to go well together. I had a heel injury, so put in a pair of these soft jelly-like heels, that also enhanced the comfort.

That's a wrap, on our first hunt of this years season.

Hunting conditions are a bit tougher in South Africa during the month of February, but can be just as rewarding if done right.
