I wanted a pair of Courteney Selous Gameskin boots for a trip I have coming up in April 2026. Well, now that I have them, they won't work for me. Unfortunately, my foot is extremely narrow and they're simply too wide for me. These are the iconic dark brown/light brown combo, with the Tyre Tread sole. These retail for $540 here in the US. If you're looking to get into a pair of the Courteney Selous Gameskin boots at an excellent price, here you go.

This boot is top of the Courteney range. It’s been tested for decades under the hardest bush conditions and is now the preferred working footwear of elite safari guides, rangers, field researchers and photographers.

Named for the famous adventurer, explorer, naturalist, conservationist and big game hunter of the 1800s, Frederick Courteney Selous. His real-life adventures inspired Sir H. Rider Haggard to create the fictional Allan Quatermain character.

This style, made from Cape Buffalo leather, features soft Impala collar and full bellows tongue for effective protection. Antiqued brass fittings and speed lacing.

Every pair is hand-made, serial numbered and comes with its own travelling gear: the butler’s kit: a pouch containing polish, brush and spare laces.

These will be coming from a pet and smoke free home.

Location: Pennsylvania
Price: $425 (shipped & insured)

I need to know if this is legit. Photo with today's paper would do it.

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
