I remember at one point you could get Courteney boots made from elephant hide, I really would like to get some if there is anyone that know where you might be able to get some I would appreciate the help.

Not sure they are still there, I haven't transited Atlanta internationally for a couple of years, but a seized pair were proudly displayed by customs in a case just outside customs.

Wow seriously I come through Atlanta customs a lot and have not seen that…. With that said, I have heard they aren’t available in elephant anymore…. I purchased a pair in 1997 in Zimbabwe and believe it or not, still wear them and funny thing, have wore them to Kenya and back at least 20 times through Atlanta. lol…. Although I would be sick to loose them….

Yes they are made. These are mine from many years ago. I picked them up in Bulawayo from the local dealer. Wore them home on my feet and no one cared. Not sure I would try that today. After getting them out to look I realize they need a bit of polish. They will outlast me and maybe my son who wears the same size.
(edit) I wonder if anyone who is getting elephant products shipped home from their hunt could add them to a shipment? the inspection and clearing process would be the same. I have an elephant hide belt I wear quite a bit - how does customs know where you bought it and when?

Step 1: Shoot an elephant
Step 2: Bring the hide to Colletts Taxidermy
Step 3: Get your feet measured and choose a model at Courteney's
Step 4: Get your elephant trophy import papers from your national government
Step 5: Wait two years
Step 6: Get your elephant taxidermy delivered at home, including the boots
Step 7: Any future safari's you do, just wear them on the plane.
Step 8: If anyone asks, it is rawhide from buffalo. Or "I don't know". Either way you have papers at home.

Don't: put them brand new in a shoebox in your luggage, with the tag still mentioning elephant leather.

I am not sure what the law is in Australia, but in the US we are unable to import finished elephant products from Zimbabwe which is where they are made.

I believe those boots were moved to the Delta gate where you get on the plane to Johanasburg. They have a piece of carved ivory, reedbuck horns, brown hyena and a leopard skin along side the boots.

Love it!!! In the US the only thing to know is your approval permit for elephant is good for only one year. However, within 60 days of its expiration you can get it renewed. This is what conservation force told me when they sent me my permit. Just something to remember if you are in the US.
