Charles Lancaster 375

Frustrated that customs held her up though and that I couldn’t hunt in Aussie with her! They cleared it as I was passing the other way through passport control… missed out on hunting this with her.

That's crap....when you hoping to use it ?

A few more questions. Is it 3+1 capacity? Does it snap over? I am not familiar with the "Holland & Holland takedown system." Is that to remove the barrel or the stock or the scope?

It appears Lancaster did not cut back the ring. Excellent! I'd be interested to know how he got around that. I managed to just barely avoid it when building my 404. But I believe 375 has longer OAL.

That certainly is a very special gun. It will live on in your family long after you are gone.

Barrel and front portion of the fore end gets removed in a takedown model.

That’s a very handsome Lancaster 375! I think you made great choices in your specifications. Together with the double you’ve ordered, the two will fit well in a single, modest sized case.

If it’s convenient, please share photos of the bottom metal, and takedown screw etc.

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]
