I’ve recently moved from a G19 that I literally carried for decades to a G43… while I gave up some mag capacity, the thinner profile and lighter weight make it a dream to carry…
while I gave up some mag capacity
Shield Arms S15s with their metal mag catch...... I HATE the idea of changing things on a Glock, but pick one up and run a couple hundred rounds through it and see if you like it. I've been really happy with mine.
PSA makes a 15 round mag too. Haven't tried theirs.
I don't know if this will get moved or not as it's not directly hunting related.
What is everyone's EDC setup these days?
I recently got my CCW in NJ which is very new thing for us.
Gun: Sig P365X (stock)
Holster: Tier 1 Xiphos Elite w/ 2 Ulticlip 3's.
Position: AIWB
I recently switched to the 2-clip Tier 1 from a 1-clip Vedder Lighttuck.
How do you avoid flagging people when you draw? Assuming you end up drawing at a crowded restaurant and there is a robber in front of you.Glock 19 IWB left side cross draw.
Alt is a S&W Model 60 Three Inch .38 Special same holster set up.
I assume you mean sweeping people with your muzzle? How do you avoid flagging people when you draw? Assuming you end up drawing at a crowded restaurant and there is a robber in front of you.
Guess, it depends on your shooting stance. Turning one side or other to the target would screw me up as I have shot tens of thousands of rounds each year using a different stance (square to the target).I assume you mean sweeping people with your muzzle?
You always turn your left side toward the threat for a fast and safe draw.
It's the best all around carry method.......especially when we have to drive a car..
Nice.Guess, it depends on your shooting stance. Turning one side or other to the target would screw me up as I have shot tens of thousands of rounds each year using a different stance (square to the target).
You can see from the video below that my feet and body are square to the targets unless I am on the move and even then, my body is still square. I know this is a competition video but that training translates, I even use a handgun with the same manual of arms (single action, double stack) for EDC. Top is my competition gun in .40 S&W and below is my EDC in 9mm.
