Does anyone have any ideas on best areas to stay and hotel recommendations for an upcoming 3 night stay in Capetown. This will take place the beginning of May in 2026. Want to be able to walk safely.to restaurants and shops ( the wife ). Thanks

V&A waterfront year round. In RSA summer months Camps Bay.

I stayed at the Commodore last August. Short walk to the wharf, great eating places, safe. It was a huge surprise after many trips through Joburg and that anxiety. They have an incredible breakfast buffet. Only regret was we didn't stay an extra day. VERY reasonable for everything.

In these places, can you stay there if you have rifles?

watching closely as I too will be there but in April. I will have rifles as well.

SON, HIS 3 LADIES, AND GUNS STAYED AT ROMNEY PARK LUXURY APARTMENTS (ON EXPEDIA) AND HAD EASY ACCESS TO ALL THEY WANTED TO DO.

V&A Waterfront is probably the most convenient but will come at an increased cost. I’ve stayed at the Double Tree and the Canopy (both Hilton properties) and covered the cost of the stay with points.

Driving in Cape Town is very easy and stress free. I’d suggest you consider renting a car and driving to some of the sights instead of relying on walking, the hop on/off bus, or hiring a car. It’ll open up a world of possibilities.

My buddy took his rifle, no problems and a breeze compared to Joburg

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
