Cape Eland & Livingstone Eland Pictures

Maybe it's because I live in Alaska and am accustomed to shooting large animals like moose...but something intrigues me about Eland. I'm looking forward to hunting one this July when I head back to RSA. And those eland steaks on the brai are awesome! Anyone else planning on arrowing a big one this year?

Eland Anyone?

Please share your Cape Eland or Livingstone Eland pictures and stories in this thread...
To me Eland is the absolute best eating African animal!

My Cape Eland taken in April 2022. What a great adventure that was. Eland hunting feels similar to hunting elk in the foothills.

Thought I posted this already. This bull was taken hunting with Mike Angelides in Lukwati North in early October, 2022. Used a 404 Jeffery with 400 gr. SAFs at estimated 200 yards.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.
