I suspect you are are right. Lions!

There is a video right after this one showing the stampede from the other side (close up). It was definitely lions as they came right up to the white car.

Might have been lions......but I think it was animal rights activists trying to "save" them.............the buffalo know better!

I expect that was way closer the people in the white car intended on getting to ANY game, especially a swarm-o-Buffaloes!
