That charter price is killer! Any chance the cost can be spilt between people flying in and people flying out? I know this is how the outfitters in Tanzania try to time hunts to cut down on costs

At the moment it's not possible unfortunately...

On my 2 trips to the rain forest for bongo I was able to split the air charter cost with another hunter, it was still 3500.00, and that was 20 years ago!! 10,000 charter flight, ouch!!

That the price already split in two

In 1999, my portion of the 1 hour charter flight was 3500US, and that was 25% of the fee. There were 2 hunters flying in, 2 hunters flying out. It’s an expensive part of the world. Having said all that, 20000 euros plus the air charter is still a pretty decent deal for a bongo. If I wanted to take a 3rd bongo hunt, which I don’t, I’d take this deal.

I hunted elephant with Luke Samaris in 2005. It was my fourth safari and I tell you he is a fine gentleman the best. I got the opportunity to meet Patty Curtis, although never hunted with him but enjoyed our conversation around our tent in the Selous. Very sad for a tough guy to leave this world the way he did. Let’s pray the murderers are caught. I hope to see Luke in Nashville.
