8 little guys we let walk away today. Only pictures of a few.

No picture of the big guy at the end of the day.
10 Feet, literally, on to the wrong property. Otherwise, :W Gun:
Best impulse control I have shown in ages. :)

For the romantics in the crowd - Some Wild Horses.
(Feral to the rational folks)
Who knew I would get such a great literal segue into this thread title.

The Stallion sniffed his midden and then just trotted by at 5 yards.

Distractions, distractions. This fella dropped to an arrow this morning. Not mine sadly. Another buddy for this draw and got it done on the first morning. He only had two days to hunt. Lucky SOB

Out again in the morning to try again. Thanks for the well wishes.

That's a great elk for any weapon and especially sweet with a bow. You can't get your deer sitting at home - keep going!

Looks like a nice elk, and with a bow!

Chased around all over trying to get some other folks their deer. To no avail. More little guys.

Bloody +9C today was no help.

Dark moon tonight. Tomorrow morning up in the dark and into the woods.
My turn.... :A Banana:

Good Luck!

+9 sounds nice vs. the 37 - 42 I had in Mozambique, but not good for deer up north. It's ok to be selfish - go take care of yourself now.

wild, wild, horses couldn't drag me away.................

Wonderful pictures thank you.
do the horses live the year around outside,no stable ?

Foxi, there are plenty of wild horses roaming free, year round on public land out west.
They fend for themselves against weather and predators.

Hello Doug,
I am Philippe from France and plan to go hunting Caprivi in 2026, Oct.
I have read on AH you had some time in Vic Falls after hunting. May I ask you with whom you have planned / organized the Chobe NP tour and the different visits. (with my GF we will have 4 days and 3 nights there)
Thank in advance, I will appreciate your response.
Merci
Philippe

Hi Walden. Good morning from England, Chris here (The Englishman!) from Croatia. Firstly it was a pleasure to meet you and Michelle - a fellow Sanderson! I have finally joined AH as I enjoy it very much. Glad you enjoyed the hunt and your write up which I read on AR was very good indeed. I am sending on WhatsApp pics from Bojan of some of the animals hunted recently. Take care and best regards. CS.
