Can I Use Pledge to Shine a rifle?

Break Free LP for metal including the bore via bore snake.

light coat of boiled linseed on an oil finished wood stock, immediately wiping off excess so it doesn’t get sticky.

on a gloss stock, nothing is required. It’s sealed.

On plastic, nothing petroleum based.

I use Ballistol on all my firearms , safe for wood and metal , and great for long term protection when being stored in the safe .

You can. But Renaissance is much better

Thanks to Red Leg for the recommendation. Just ordered a jar of Renaissance Wax.
Update: Got my jar of Renaissance and spent some time with my walnut stocked rifles and shotguns. This stuff works great! Easy to use and puts a very nice finish on the walnut.

Mike from the USOG YouTube channel has a video about gun care products that I enjoyed. He really likes Renaissance and Ballistol, as well. He goes over some other ones, too--including old British products like Rangoon Oil that he has. I'm betting a couple AH members have some tins of this old stuff he talks about, the type of products that might come along in the case if you bought a classic H&H or Westley Richards. The workmanship on those old tins and flasks is pretty astounding. Imagine picking something like that up in stores today!
