Can I just say...

Congrats on joining here on AH. It truly is a great place with a lot of very knowledgeable people. We can agree to disagree without name calling. We also can learn a lot from one another. As others have said to go to Africa you have to make it a priority. Start saving. Find a way to make a little more $$. Find a way to spend less $$. Look at the specials. Some of my best hunts have been specials/cancellations. Glad your here and keep your dream alive.

Welcome to gang, sir. Anything you want to know about hunting, firearms, etc. can be found here. Don't give up on your safari. It will happen. It took me 76 years and it is well worth the wait. Until you go, get out and shoot. Go out and walk around in the woods , look for and follow tracks to see how animals act and get accustomed to being out in the "wild". Take a local hunt if you can. Visit the sportsmans shows for information and specials.

I love a good woods walk.
This is my favorite website.

Welcome to AH.

You will definitely find your niche here.

But be warned..there are addicts, about to become addicts, and like you whom we encourge, and sponsors who make solid efforts, With Deals and Offers, to assist you in becoming an addict....(n)I still haven't found out why it's called an addiction? An addiction can be "cured". :A Exam::E Rofl:

Hello everyone. Thank you all for your words and encouragement.

I've still no idea if I'll get there as soon as I'd like, but I at least figure I'll have the funding to do it! Recent events will allow me to set aside several thousand dollars, which will hopefully gain interest or increase from some investment, I've decided to earmark (and add to) especially for a trip to Africa, whether it's in five years, a decade, or more. I've also been looking at the critters I'd be most interested in taking (sable, gemsbok, giant eland, and greater kudu currently top my list) and that oughta help me narrow down locations and find deals as things go along.

I reckon I'll have time to get all the rest figured out; first priority for me along with setting the $$ aside for a startup is getting the hardware.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
Ready for the hunt with HTK Safaris

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
