Can I bring a tactical shotgun stock from the USA to South Africa?

Hi all. I'm currently working in the US. I will be returning to South Africa in December. I was gifted a tactical shotgun stock for my birthday and would like to bring it back to SA with me. Would I be allowed to bring it in my checked luggage? The TSA said it won't be a problem in the USA, but I'm not sure about South African customs. Any info would be highly appreciated.
