My PH took the picture.
Maybe he should have used the flash to lighten up. the shadows.
The trophy I am happy with. Think he was old. The horns look worn down
a bit.

Wow, that really is an old, worn-down bushbuck! Certainly a nice trophy!

My collection... all pickups/animals brought in for post-mortems. All from the Lydenburg/Ohrighstad area in Mpumalanga, SA.

From left to right:
18"+ with nice symmetrical and thick horns. Found in the mountains.
17"+ leopard kill. Looks longer than the set to the left... guess the horn is much thinner and not as curved.
The remaining 4 are all 15" (far right may be 13 or 14"). What is interesting is that all four of those animals were old and died of capture myopathy after having been chased by poacher's dogs.

Not the longest horns, but this a great and difficult hunt for a superb bushbuck ram... Eastern Cape area.

We posted this photo previously, but I think its worth seeing again... This beast was taken on the banks of the Limpopo River just behind the lodge this past season. We are truly fortunate to have concessions on 3 different rivers with miles of habitat and fantastic genetics for Limpopo Bushbuck.

Do you have any cull hunts available? 7 days, daily rate plus per animal price?
