Bushbuck in Limpopo?

Here's one I found that died of old age. Not the Blesbok!

I ve hunted 3 bbuck in ecape and am totally addicted. After kudu theres no question about not hunting bbuck. So far any mature ram has been great - I too love the dark coats and brighter markings on ecape bbuck. Im hopefully off to KWN next for big kudu and definitely bbuck. Any advice on KWN? nyala, vrhebok and comm reedbuck also on the list.
However, I must hunt one of these long horned Limpopo bucks as well at some point. What would be a known area for tremendous Limpopo bbuck and kudu?

I have seen some fine ones around the Thabazimbi area. Also at the Executivehuntafrica.com Johan van Wyk’s tent camp. Saw one not 100 yards from camp as I was walking around. Pretty exciting! He was a fine one as well. He also has some very good kudu.
I don’t think you can keep them in a high fenced area. They go right under where warthogs dig under. JMO

Only reason I didn’t take one in Zim was that I didn’t see a candidate for the salt shed!

Ali, I will write a hunt report soon but I can very enthusiastically recommend Chris Troskie Safaris for tremendous kudu and bushbuck hunting. He’s on the Mogol River near Lephalale. These species are naturally occurring and in big numbers on huge properties.

In Limpopo I have shot around 65 bushbuck, in state forest and on farms. To me bushbuck is the most interesting antelope. Beautiful, dangerous, excellent venison.

I am interested in a limpopo specialist hunt.
Ive hunted a bunch of ecape rams. But nothing compares to kwn midland rams where i got a rowland ward ancient ram.
I am looking at june 2026 for a limpopo ram and would like to know the best place/gamefarm in limpopo for exceptional bushbuck and dedicate 4-5 days hunting bushbuck mainly. Will take multiple rams but really want a chance at a record book limpopo bushbuck.
Will take any exceptional impala and kudu i come across but focus is bushbuck.
Could someone recommend a hunt?
