When we joined AH this past July, we posted the following buffalo hunt as an introductory offer. The special received a lot of interest and we appreciate the AH members that have decided to hunt with us in 2025. I am pleased to again be able to offer this package and make it available for 2026. This hunt includes 7 nights at our lodge in KwaZulu-Natal hunting 1x1 for these trophies. Pick up will be from the Johannesburg or Durban airport. The price for this package is $10,900 and is available for any of our remaining dates in 2025 and all of 2026. A limited number of these packages are available.

This package includes:
- 1 Cape Buffalo Bull (no size limit)
- 1 Warthog
- 1 Nyala
- Free Observer
- Daily rate for 1 hunter and one observer for 7 nights
- Half day tiger fishing on Jozini Dam for both the hunter and observer
- Road transportation, meals, accommodation, full catering, alcohol in moderation, and laundry services
- Services of a professional hunter, trackers and skinners, and the use of the hunting vehicle
- Field preparation and delivery of trophies to the designated shipping agent or local taxidermist
-15 % Government Tax (Value Added Tax)

The following items are excluded:
- Any animal species not specified above
- All air transport
- Air freight, packing, dipping, documentation and shipping fees for trophies
- Gratuities, personal expenses, and phone calls
- Additional day trips or excursions
- Accommodation and transportation before or after the contracted safari

Thank you, again, to the AH Community and don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or if you would like to discuss this hunt in more detail.

Thank you,
Conrad Fick

I might be interested in this package. What size Buffalo and Nyala can be expected? And all on your property and the connecting Pongola Nature Reserve? All free range and no stocking?

Hello wesheltonj and thank you for your inquiry. The buffalo will be hunted on our 12,000-acre concession adjacent to the PNR. The buffalo are self-sustaining and a hunter will see solitary bulls in addition to herds with cows, calves, and bulls of various ages. Hunters can expect to look over multiple hard-bossed bulls with a reasonable expectation of one in the 38-42" range, but there are some that are bigger. The vegetation is thick which allows us to stalk in close but also makes for a challenging and proper hunt. The nyala on this concession are abundant and a patient hunter can reasonably expect something over 27" with potentially one much better. I will follow up with a DM as well and, if interested, we can set up a time to discuss in more detail.

Thank you,
Conrad

Any offer that includes Tiger fish is going to get lots of attention. Sounds like a great deal for that combination.

I'm curious like Fatback is about additional Plains Game that might be available.

Nice! That would knock off 3 bucket list items and address a desire to hunt a hog on every trip.

Hello Fatback and skydiver 386!

Yes, we do have additional plains game located on our concession in KwaZulu-Natal that includes: bushbuck, bushpig, common duiker, giraffe, impala, kudu, common reedbuck, steenbuck, warthog, blue wildebeest, and zebra (Burchell's). We have another concession, approximately 2 hours away, where we can hunt most of the previously mentioned species and: blesbuck, eland, fallow deer, mountain reedbuck, red hartebeest, common springbuck, vaal rehebuck, gemsbuck, and sable. This lodge/concession is conveniently located about halfway between our location in KZN and Johannesburg which allows us to break up the drive by hunting there a few days at the beginning or end of a trip.

I hope this answers your question and please let me know if you have any additional questions or would like to further discuss.

We are really looking forward to getting the 2025 season underway. In preparation we have been finishing up the lodge and chalet renovations and I have been spending quite a bit of time on our concessions in preparation for our March clients. While out, I came across this great nyala and was able to get a couple pictures before he disappeared into the bush. He has both great mass and length. I also came across a unique nyala, which I believe to be a cow with horns. I say believe because I talked with several others who thought it was possibly a male without testicles. Either way, it is very interesting to say the least. Good luck to everyone this season and don't hesitate to reach out if you want to discuss anything hunting or fishing related. It's always great to meet forum members and chat!

When would be te best time to go on this hunt in 2026?
-best chances for a good bull.
- not too hot.. My Norwegian body is more comfortable with snow than heat, and barely functions when the temperature rises too much.
- not high season for mosquitoes and such.

Skaubjonn, thank you for the question. The coolest time would be July or the end of June. Mosquitoes wouldn’t be a problem during that time either. The vegetation here is very thick but it will have died back making the warthog hunting and overall spotting of game a little easier. This would be a fine time to get a good buffalo as well. Let me know if you have any other questions or would like to talk.

Good day AH! Below is a link to a video of a buffalo hunt that we conducted last year. There was a rather tense moment when we had a young bull approach from behind while we were watching a herd. We still have a few weeks available in 2025 and currently booking for 2026. I hope you enjoy!
