Game farming seems to be paying well for some folks.

Amazing

Buffalo Bull Record Price of R26 m

A record price of R26 million was paid for a buffalo bull at an auction in Bela Bela (Warmbaths) on Saturday, 1 September.

The bull is only four years and ten months old and boasts horns that are 51 inches wide with a bos of 16 inches.

Jacques Malan and his wife, Carolien, bred this bull on their farm, Lumarie, near Bela Bela.

The new owners are Piet du Toit and two fellow game farmers in the Rustenburg region.

Senatla, the previous most expensive buffalo bull in South Africa, auctioned for R18 million at the annual Thaba Tholo Auction in 2011. It was bought by a bidder who wanted to remain anonymous.

Wow, makes you wonder where this is all heading.........

zambian sable at auction in south africa go for rand 800,000.00 and well upwards, we get us$6000.00 tops if we are lucky in zambia. unfortunately it is just about impossible to get an import licence for south africa, or we would be shipping all ours there yesterday!!

3.175 million for a young bull with good genetics...

You can see where this is going...

WOW :wow: R26 million I know of entire game farms cheaper then that.

i actually thought that price included the game farm bob
i might just put my glasses back on i think

AS they say the billionaires are pushing the millionaires out...

I think this is extending to Hunting also...

There is a market for Large/big trophy animals...you just have to know who to market them to...

If you remember the black rhino for $250,000 and the white lion for $100,000 plus were taken up...

The ones who have it are going and spending it on thing they want to do, money is not an issue....

I have a few friends that fall into this small bracket and when a couple flew to Hawaii 2 years ago they chartered there own 737 wide body jet plus rented entire floor's at a nice motel...

Another couple have been to Africa 32 + times on safari...they have some of the best ivory you will ever see in there home...from Kenya by the way...they go every year for a trip...never saying where they are going until it is over...past few time have been for bird hunting only...

All you have to do is turn on the TV or follow the internet, to see some people are living better than others. Like I have said before, if hunting gets to expensive for some animals, I'll find something else to hunt or do with my time.

I just think it's stupid for people to pay prices like that...no common sense.

just been speaking to a friend in sa who has been at the auctions, and a sable bull of zambian origin which i think was about 51 inches went for 12.2 millon rand . at the coming auctions there are a couple of big buff bulls for hunting one is around 49 inches, it will be interesting to see what they make......

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
