The warthog was the first animal I harvested during my safari. I had not seen many warthog prior to the one I shot so....I wanted to make sure he was a good representative of a mature warthog. Otto, my PH assured me the warthog was mature! I made a great shot but the wart hog still managed to traveled 150 to 175 yards with both lungs pierced before talking a "dirt nap"....as my buddy Tony likes to say...

I was amazed to find out that my warthog could be 15 years old.

Archer,

Great video! Exceptional production value...

I see Steven is on top of his tracking skills as usual.... Congrats on a great old warthog. Lots of character. Looking forward to more videos.

Yep he is a nice one!

Good blood trail. You stuck him in the right place!

Nice!

Great video Archer. (y) Did you self-video or have someone run the camera for you? When we hunted with Limcroma, our PH Kobus ran the camera for us. He did a very good job. It seems that all of the PHs are also experienced cameramen.

Jan Loots was my PH at Limcroma. In addition to being an excellent PH, he was also a very good videographer and photographer. It amazed me how much time and effort those guys spent to make sure that you got the perfect pose and great photos of your animals.

Fantastic warthog by the way!

I took a lot of video prior to the shots but my PH Otto took over once the shot was about to be taken. I showed up with my tripod the very first morning but he offered to video. Otto did a wonderful job and the tripod never made it to any of the hunts. (y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)

@Mac Baren, I live central to city of Cincinnati. I have work travel early this week but could hopefully meet later this week (with no schedule changes). What area of town are you working/staying in?
Kind regards
Ron
